The Certificate IV in Aging Support focuses on developing advanced skills to provide care and support to older adults in residential, community, or home care settings. Key topics include individualized care planning, leadership in aged care services, palliative care, and complex needs management. Designed for those with prior experience or qualifications in care, the program can be completed in 12–24 months and is delivered in flexible formats. Graduates often move into roles like Care Team Leader, Residential Care Officer, or Aged Care Coordinator.

Admission Requirements

1. Academic Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent (e.g., GED, Year 12 certificate).
  • Some institutions may require specific minimum grades or scores.

2. Work Experience (Optional but Preferred)

  • Relevant work experience (e.g., in business, administration, or management) may enhance the application.
  • For mature students (non-traditional students), work experience can sometimes replace formal academic qualifications.

3. Language Proficiency

  • For non-native English speakers:
    • English Language Proficiency Test Scores, such as:
      • IELTS: Minimum overall band score of 6.0.
      • TOEFL: Minimum score of 550 (paper-based) or 80 (internet-based).
      • PTE Academic: Minimum score of 50.
