This is a fantastic contract opportunity for an experienced risk management specialist who wants to work in an exciting new role responsible for overseeing and implementing key governance functions to support the agency in identifying, managing and reporting risks effectively.

This role is accountable to the Manager, Office of the Chief Executive and your key focus will be:

• To develop and implement the Risk Management Framework, Risk Registers, Internal Audit Plans, Policies, Procedures and Systems.
• Lead the development and implementation of the agency’s Risk Strategy
• Train and develop staff in supporting the Risk Management Framework and facilitating the upskilling of Risk and Control Owners
• Develop and guide key managers in the identification and assessment of risks and application of internal controls and how to map compliance obligations
• Oversee and develop internal controls to identify, manage and mitigate risks and ensuring ongoing compliance obligations
• Develop the Audit and Risk data governance framework and data strategy and support the Audit and Risk Committee in its governance and oversight

To be successful in this role, you will have:

• Demonstrated experience in governance functions related to risk, audit and internal control environments
• Proven experience to undertake complex projects including research, analysis and the ability to determine effective methods and strategy for successful outcomes
• High level experience working with senior executive and management and the ability to collaborate and support the agency and Committee
